Obwodnica miasta Rzeszowa (ul. Załęska - ul. Rzecha) uznana została "Najlepszą Inwestycją Budowlaną w kategorii Obiekty Infrastrukturalne - Przestrzenie Publiczne".
W najnowszym numerze Pisma Samorzadu Terytorialnego "Wspólnota" opublikowany został Ranking "Inwestycje w infrastrukturę techniczną". Rzeszów zajął w nim wyskokie, siódme miejsce w kategorii miast wojewódzkich.
Stolica Podkarpacia już po raz czwarty zdobyła tytuł i certyfikat „Gminy Fair Play” tym razem za rok 2007. Poprzednio Rzeszów otrzymywał to zaszczytne miano w latach 2004, 2005 i 2006. W roku 2006 miasto otrzymało też prawo do używania znaku "Złota Lokalizacja Biznesu".
Analitycy profesjonalnej firmy ocenili sytuację miasta jako bardzo dobrą, ale wskazali także na zagrożenia, które mogą stanowić barierę w rozwoju Rzeszowa.
Stolica Podkarpacia zajęła bardzo wysokie 5 miejsce w rankingu najbogatszych miast wojewódzkich w Polsce w roku 2006, w przeliczeniu na jednego mieszkańca.
Nasze miasto zdobyło dwukrotnie III miejsce pośród miast i gmin powyżej 70 tys. mieszkańców w ogólnopolskim konkursie na najlepiej oświetloną gminę i miasto 2007 roku.
Rzeszowskie Rondo im. Jana Pawła II wraz z przebudową ulic Lubelskiej, Marszałkowskiej i Warszawskiej zdobyło dwie prestiżowe nagrody. Niezależni eksperci stwierdzili, że jest to niezwykle udana inwestycje przyznaąc jej dwukrotnie tytuł "Budowy Roku 2006".
